CTE Pro One Visual Sweep versus Manual Pivot

It's really just another way of understanding what you already know regarding being able to pivot back from final alignment to execute BHE when required. Though, the exactness of such will depend on the cue's pivot point and throw effects.

So if I aligned a shot for 1/2 tip of inside english (right to left cut, requiring a left to right pivot) from in the stance, and looked at the CTE ETA lines, perhaps I'd be pretty close to the visual perception that one learns to see.

Or you could just learn the visual for the final aim line. But you probably already do that.

Yes, I agree!

And also the many shots that occur with a 1/2 of outside on the pro level are certainly flirting with what I think you are implying......I think.

Yes, the 1/2 outside should work pretty well on most cut shots as it's near to gearing english for them. I'd be careful on the straighter shots with a 1/2 tip of OE as it will lead to overcutting. Probably for 3/4 and thinner cuts, it will work quite well. For 7/8th cuts, I'd try 1/4 tip OE for gearing.

Close, I estimate the final aim line visual, from there I look to CCB and try to move my bridge to that line. As I get close, I visualize the connection to the OB and tweak by feel for final adjustment of bridge V.

I commit to that line and adjust only as may be required for SIT/CIT or swerve requirements. My bridge length usually can account for squirt via BHE.
