Nice diagram. Using the edge of the CB to fractions on the OB is accurate if you can stroke parallel to that alignment line at the center of the CB.
If you add the path of the CB to the OB, you will see where the CB contacts the OB. Draw a line from the center of the CB to the center of the ON and you will see the 15, 30 45 degree andgles that you refer to.
