Hi all,

As some of you are aware, CSI's CTS OnDemand Bracket software is probably the most innovative bracket software there is out there. CSI uses it for all of the tournaments they produce. It will be used for the BCAPL National Championships and the US Open Onepocket and US Open 10 Ball that are currently underway now.

What some of you may not know, is that there is a few cool features that you may not have stumbled upon or are aware of. I have put together a pdf file that illustrates some of those features.

Please take the time to take a quick view of it, so you can benefit from those features. I have provided a link to the pdf, which upon being clicked on, should open up inside your browser.

When I get some time, I will probably do a complete tutorial that covers everything. I especially like the clicking of the entrants link, which then gives you a summary of everything you need to know at a glance.

Feel free to comment on whether these features you were already aware of and were using, or if you weren't aware of them. Also, if you became aware of them now, do you think they're pretty cool? I'm sure CSI would love to hear from you additionally, if you have any thoughts on their software, when it comes to things you don't like or things you would like to see. We all know Mark Griffin welcomes feedback, as he is always striving to improve on anything he can, within reason.

I personally feel that Mark and crew have done a really good job putting together their online bracket system. I've used it for the past couple of years now and appreciate all the work that's been put into it. I already am familiar with all the features that you have included in your tutorial .pdf. Good job with your .pdf, BTW.

The online brackets are sweet !!!!

Now I can look and see how the players from my area are doing out there.

Sure beats calling and saying, "Well ?? How'd ya do ???"

Exactly!!! It works great, you'll be able to see they play in upcoming matches and who've they already played. These brackets are the next best thing to sliced bread.

thanks for the replies guys! Glad to see everyone is enjoying this wonderful software. I can bet no one has ever put this amount of attention into designing bracket software.

Keep the replies coming, as I will make sure Mark Griffin see's this thread, so if you have positive thoughts, bug reports, suggestions for enhancements or anything else, please post them here. One of the best ways to improve products, is from customer feedback!

there sure seems to be a lot of people that don't know where to find brackets for the CSI 2012 US Open Onepocket Championships. Even people that are regulars here. What's weird is... there have been countless threads that reference "Where are the brackets" in the subject line, that I see almost every day.

So I'll bump my thread again, since it has the words US Open and Brackets in it:smile: Below is a screenshot of one of the features I have in my tutorial. As you can quickly see, it's a great way to find out where someone placed in the tourney, who's still active in it, when their next match or current match is....

It's the greatest thing since sliced bread if you are actually in one of the events, especially the big ones like the open singles and teams.

I like this bracket layout quite a lot.

On the subject specifically of finding the brackets:

I consider myself fairly computer literate, and especially when it comes to pool forums and brackets. I too was not able to find the link to the brackets... just food for thought, perhaps that part of the site needs to be redesigned. An intuitive site won't have the users, especially regular users, searching for basic information.

Edit: Where I went wrong was I did a google search and found the page that had all the 1 pocket entry information. From there I couldn't find the brackets. Then I saw the CTSLive link at the top of the page. Then I was set.

I wish there were not so many acronyms on that entire website. It can get confusing.

There is a lot of information packed in the brackets.
Very easy to navigate.

That's for sure!!!

Brackets are up for the US Open 10 ball and some of the BCAPL events!

Go there and check them out! Please look at my 1st post in this thread for more info.

The brackets look great and contain a lot of information. Clicking on a person's name in the first position of a bracket, highlights their name so that you can quickly and easily see how they fared because it highlights all of their matches in that bracket.

I see that there is a column for a Loser's Score but did not see any losers' scores unless I am just not looking in the right spot.

Is there a way to view the scores of completed matches?

When are the matches updated and when does the Internet viewing program get updated?

Is the way that the names are drawn part of the program?
Exactly how does that work?
Is there a button that someone pushes and the names are sorted?
Can the names be repositioned if you decided to seed the players?
Is the player draw done in public or in private?

Sorry for so many questions but even so, the brackets get a thumbs up from JoeyA.

It appears that the scores are now more readily available on the completed matches than I was previously able to see.

Thanks,

This is my first year at the BCAPL Nationals and the CTS Brackets helped make it an enjoyable experience. I was able to track down the matches for roommates, friends and support by watching.
