When you finally get a 'feel'/taste of playing pool well...the cue and its natural bending/feeling...play a vital role, almost a confidence. So what is the best balance point for the game at hand (does it matter?) cue tips do for different conditions (slow/fast cloth). Do you prefer to feel the cue weight more rear of center in your back hand, or more forward? In 9-ball I prefer the balance point more rearward/more feel too...I have a better ability to move things around when I need it. On another note, I would prefer an old Balabuska for straight pool with all the forward weight. 14.1 teaches you to follow, 9-ball teaches you how to draw.
