What material is the cue ball made from?

It sure can, I've done several. Phenolic is a pretty hard material, machines great and obviously takes a great finish.

If im not mistaken, reyes old jessie cue from the mid 90s to early 2000s. (Philippine made) used a cue ball ferrule.

i know this has been asked and i did a search, couldnt find the answer.
brunswick centennial cue ball, some idiot cigarette tested it.
aside from the exterior burn, it's in good shape.
would like a butt cap and hoppe ring cut from it, your opinion please.

If you like colors you can use the number balls too.

If you're going to make a ferrule out of a cue or other ball, make sure it's high quality. I've seen them cut in half with plenty of voids in them.

Be careful, I was drilling a core of the number on a 8 ball and hit a chunk of steel that was in the middle. Not sure if it was a cheap ball and needed extra weight, maybe one of those crazy 8 balls, something to do with coin opp tables, or normal?
