Ladies and Gentelmen - I am a furniture maker living in Knoxville Tn and am considering making some cue cabinets for sale here on AZ. These will be made to order of all solid wood. The first cabinet I intend to build will be of solid birds eye maple and be of a more traditional design. Stained to mimic hundreds of years of age. My dillema though is the manner in which to make the doors. Would you prefer a cabinet with glass panels or one with solid panels. Having said that, it is possible to make doors with interchangeable panels. I can see the pros and cons to each. What think ye all?
Cabinets will be in the $700-$1200 range depending on material and # of cues they will hold. All joinery will be traditional mortise and tenon and handcut dovetails where needed. Below is a sample of my work, which some of you have seen. Thank you in advance for any and all input!
