Cue Care at the Derby

I am staying at the Horseshoe this year for the first time and taking some cues with me. Is it ok to leave my cues in the room when I'm not there? or should I leave them in the car? I hate to leave them out in the cold.
You can check your cue and case with the coat room attendant. They give you a claim ticket and you're good to go. I do that with no problems.
I leave everthing in my room, and put the do not disturb sign on the door.
We've never had any problems there doing this.....
