I just duct taped the bottom, nailed it in a few different places with a hammer, and that's that. Lol.

Thanks everyone! :D

Around here they say... "If'n it can't be fixed with duct tape, silicone sealer, or epoxy, it ain't worth fixin'!"

I think you're on track..lol

IMO
Most shopping malls have a Leather Shoe Repair Shop. They do great work on all kinds of leather items. If the duct tape novelty wares off, try to give a local leather worker some extra work. He may thank you for the fun project, by giving you a good deal and a superior repair job. :D

Thought about it...
I like Whitten's, too, but they're sorta expensive...

I think I'd like something dark brown...really dark...like "german chocolate." Lol. :D

Gonna stick with my Vincitore for now, I guess...but since I know its gonna get busted up again inevitably in the future sometime, this gives me an excuse to put in an order for a nice custom case...lol

What's wrong with the build quality of the Instroke Buffalo?

I don't think he realized that "buffalo" was a model of Instroke.

I have an older vinyl Instroke 3x7 that I sold on here twice and didn't get paid either time, so I decided to just keep it and use it for cue storage in my closet. I'm not actively trying to sell it, but if you are interested I would consider selling it at the lower end of your budget to help you out.

Maybe build quality were the the wrong words to use but to me the leather on the cases seems to thin. I've got a 3x7 and when its fully loaded its frickin heavy, with the leather being so thin the weight has actually pulled one of the rivets out where the shoulder strap connects to the case. I'll try and get a pic posted up of what i mean. I've also had 3 of the feet come off as well.

Vincitore

I've had my Vincitore (2x4 leather two tone) about 2 months and have had it out of the house maybe 6-7 times. The bottom is frayed on one side and one of the 4 legs on the bottom is loose. I'm starting to wonder about the Vincitore case.
