Cue Cases

I really have a problem with these cases and that fact that they are even allowed to be sold. Just a blatant copy of Whitten with poor quality as shown by the crooked pockets and stuff. Overseas stealing our ideas because the can't come up with a better one of their own:mad:

I am not selling these here or trying to make profit from doing this, but just want to split the shipping cost with AZBers who are interested in ordering them together. I'm sorry you have chosen to be offended by my post.

I'm not really offended by your post nor do I have an issue with you. I just think it is sad that the overseas markets steal American designs and ideas. They are able to make cheap Knock offs due to the low cost of doing bussisness over there. Then they are imported and undercut the guy who originally had the idea and was employing American workers. Like I said it is really a bigger issue than just your cases. I just think if you really want a Whitten save your money a buy a Whitten. Sorry if I screwed up your thread it was unintentional.

Thank you for your comment. I can appreciate where you are coming from and I also appreciate your concerne. But for me, I would not spend $400 dollars on a cue case. I would rather spend the money on a nice cue. After all, you don't play pool with a cue case :)

I, for one, do not see an issue with copying a design... unless, in this case, Whitten has a patent for it. Otherwise, it's fair game to be copied. Ultimately, the free market will determine whether or not these cases are a good value.

Otoh, if these cases were actually marked as Whittens, then that's another matter.

p.s.... I should add that I have a custom Whitten on order... and that I'm not wanting to buy one of these being shown here either.

These cases are not marked with any logo and I just checked the trademark database. Currently, no design trademarks are registered by Whitten Cases.

I am intersted in a case please pm with 3x6 price

So are 3x5/3x6 an option? I haven't seen an answer to that one yet. If so, I'd like a price please.

Case Quality

not to sound like a spoiler..but how good can the quality be if the pockets on the promotions picture are crooked on most of the cases.
They look crooked to me to, I thought it was just me.

I couldn't agree with you more. I own 2 Whitten 42F cases and I think they are one of the best cases on the market. Cheap copies of all types of merchandise are everywhere these days and the reason they are everywhere is people want to buy them to save a few $$. I don't have a problem with the people who want a good deal, but I feel bad for a good business man like Dan Whitten who came up with this case design whether it's trade marked or patented or not.

That's what I was trying to say.

I think I replied everyone's PM (except accdealer - your PM folder is full). I think we got enough interested buyers for this group purchase. Thanks for everyone's interest.
