Cue Cleaning Question

It must be refinished, the discoloration is most likely the finish itself.

Depending upon when the cue was made the original finish could be Lacquer or some other type of finish with no UV protection.

And if it's plastic the plastic itself may have yellowed with age. White guitars have this problem too. There really is no way to get the guitar white again without painting it. Personally, I'd leave the yellow the way it is, it gives it character and shows it's age. But that's just me.
