Cue companies.

So lets take a poll. This poll is for positive comments only. Keep the comments about cue companies as opposed to custom cue builders. I realize the line can get a blurred in some cases but for the most part it should be easy to keep the custom makers out of it. Besides we all expect great service from custom makers anyway. The poll is for positive comments on people who have multiple cues, ready made for immediate shipment.

The results will be interesting, thank You.

I think Samsara falls into this category but would welcome any correction.

I have had great service from Samsara!

Why would you want to limit this to positive comments only?

This is a prime example of the crappy touchy-feely attitude that has taken over American society.

Yeah, my mother always told me 'If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.' That is BS. If you have something true to say, should you censor yourself simply because it is not positive?

I think not.

I repped you for the touchy feely comment...I like calling a spade a spade if in fact that is what it is!!! Postive comments are great but truthful comments are even greater and worth a helluva lot more!!!

It's the OPs topic, nothing wrong with it.

If you want a negative thread, start one. :)

Makes looking around easier to have it categorized when one is researching such things I think.

JOSS has always been great IMHO. You can still get personal service from Dan Janes himself.

McDermott has been good in my experience but I don't know about service regarding their import stuff. Viking was good but is under new ownership and I don't know anything about how they are doing.

Though I don't have personal experience, I have been blown away by the examples of customer service I have seen posted about OB cues and shafts in this forum.

See? All positive. Not hard at all. If somebody starts a negative thread I would be happy to post. :)

I will say that when it comes to a company of any kind and size, it is not the good service you get on the regular, but how they deal with mistakes, and mis-haps, that measure the worth of a company.

As to poduction companys, I've never had an issue, but I've mostly had custom cues through out my pool life.

LOL I've never been called touchy-feely before. LOL I guess next I'll be accused of being PC.

There is ample opportunity to ***** about things here I just thought an opportunity to reward those companies that stand up would good.

Thanks Chopdoc for your accurate and rational response!

Best and worst(?)

Danny Janes and the Pechauer boys are the best.
The worst is National Cues; I wrote to them in 1967 and haven't heard back yet!!

I've had good customer service from McDermott, Joss, Pechauer.
Not so good from Adam, Mezz especially from warping.

Positive comments

I have not had a great amount of experience in dealing with cue companies. I have only had problems requiring me to contact three companies. I felt that Schon and Mcdermott went far beyond any reasonable expectations while the third cuemaker was rude, crude, and totaly misrepresented his product.

you'll usually hear really good things about Joss....OB always gets high marks on the LD shaft market (THE reason for that, along with a super quality product is Royce is fantastic when it comes to dealing with customers too). So, add the two together and get an OB cue!

I haven't tried or seen any of the FULL cues made by OB (not even sure they are available yet), but the butts by Joss and the OB shafts are a GREAT combo.....give one a try ;)

and on the CUSTOM but also has a production line as well front.....I'll ALWAYS recommend Jacoby (every option you can imagine!!!!).

When I was selling cue for a living, I was always impressed by the consistent quality of cues and service offered by McDermott, Viking and Pechauer cues. Meucci was the absolute worst for service and repair issues.
