cue conversion

I very good friend of mine has a older Lucasi with a radial pin in it. We have been using this cue as a break cue for close to 10 years or so with great results. He recently put a White Diamond tip on it and now it breaks like a monster. Problem is his case is a 2x2 so he is carrying around his jump cue.

My question is can this cue or a regular playing cue be turned into a jump/ break cue? What are the requirements if it can be done?

If it can be done I am thinking of having it done for him. If someone is interested in doing this job( if it's possible) please shoot me a pm with a price and time frame.

I was just wondering the same thing...

I have an old Adams that has warped in the forearm around the front of the wrap, and I've been wondering if it could be cored to straighten it out...and then converted into a Jump/break...if you receive any information about this being performed...please shoot me a P.M.

It largely depends on the 'A' joint design. It can be done but will it justify the cost?

These 2 cues don't have an 'A' joint so the conversion was pretty much straight forward.

If your cue has a tenoned 'A' jnt and I believe the Lucasi does, it can still be done, it's just a little more involved.
