Please let me know what you think of them. Or even better, propose some new ideas to me.

i know the basics of autocad how long do you think it would take to learn how to draw a cue? which version do you use? do you have a file you could email that i could learn from?
Tifosi said:Quite untrue, I only learnt AutoCAD from engineering school last year and just did pretty basic stuff. I learnt most of what I know by experiment. I think it should take less than a couple of days to get the hang of it.
I'm using Acad 2002.

Or maybe post the process you go through for the actual wood grain hatching and the 3-D rendering.classiccues said:I use autocad to do the simple layouts. Just to show what I am looking for.
These are very nice though... maybe I can e-mail you a few inlays and we can collaborate on a 3 d model...

(although if I ever had the opportunity to have it built I would probably use curly maple instead of ebony, and tinker with the veneer colors a bit).![]()
Of course I would call it "cue Y" just so everything is on the up & up.![]()
Seriously, some great designs. I need to find the time to learn Autocad. I would love designing cues like that.
When your using the program, can you "zoom in" and see the design, or parts of it, in greater detail?
