Cue Extension on Break Cue?

I was reading the thread regarding cue extensions and got to thinking that most people don't want their players modified because it could change the feedback, balance point etc... At least that has been my reasoning in the past.

However, you could have an extension installed on your break cue if you use a non phenolic tip (hard leather or Samsara). Rather than using the mechanical bridge on a hard to reach shot, just grab your break cue and use the extension. Wouldn't that be better than the mechanical bridge? For instance, put an extension on an OB break cue and you have a new tool at your disposal. And it takes up no extra room in the case. I know it is a crazy idea, but I am just having some fun trying to think outside the proverbial box.

Has anyone done this? Anyone know of a league that would not allow this?

And yes, i know the real solution is to learn to shoot both left and right handed... but I do not have the time nor the inclination to tread that path.

My opinion is that your regular "player" with the extension would STILL feel more natural than your break cue with an extension.

I like the one where both the mechanical bridge and a cue w/extension are used together. I have seen this done and the shooter was stroking the cue underhanded, just like a normal shot. You don't see this done very often.

Funniest thing I ever saw during a tournament (on T.V.) was Mika Immonen trying to use two bridges stacked one upon the other around a cluster of balls in the middle of a 9-footer. It was a cluster-f*ck to say the least. He's lucky it was a cueball-foul-only tourney 'cause he was moving balls around like nobody's business. He finally gave it up and went with another method for the shot. Funny sh*t!!!

Sounds very entertaining! Just like Earl and his finger extensions. I laughed out loud when I saw that.
