Cue extensions

I want to add a screw-in cue extension to my OB playing cue. Since OB does not make one, I am wondering whether any of the extensions from other cues might work with the OB. The OB weight system has 1/2 X 13 threads in the butt. I am thinking that if any if the other extensions use this threading in their replacement plugs, I should be able to stick one on the end of my OB cue.

Anyone have experience trying something like this?

It should be rather easy for any machinist to do if the required dimensions are given. Just remember that the material of the adapter makes a huge difference in the weight and balance of the cue. See the drawing on linked post, there is a 1,3 oz. weight difference for the adapter piece whether it is made of SS or aluminium.

I live in Finland so Im pretty sure theres someone a bit ckoser to you that can fit you an extension :rolleyes:

Thanks for the helpful information! Yes, this is very much along the lines of what I have in mind. Luckily I have a neighbor who can machine the parts for me.
