Cue For Free With Promise

I really hate to be the rock in the road here but I just don't think "passing" the cue around is a very good idea.

You're just asking for trouble. Along with not that many people actually getting their hands on the cue over the long run, you are setting this up to cause more problems than it's worth. There will be hurt feelings when one person isn't the next, people getting mad and saying that the cue is just passing around a certain little circle, and not only that but the person that has the stick will go through endless PM's and the forum will have endless posts on the subjects above.

I say let J&D choose two people and be done with it.

Now if one of the persons who gets the stick doesn't like it then maybe they should pass it along for a second opinion, but if they like it, keep it and use it.

i agree with that

Well said, Jeff.

I'm also of the opinion that the more folks that use the cue, the less of a great 1st impression it will make. A used cue will invariably have chalk stains, dings, scratches, etc. Folks that "take their turn," after the cue's been floated around a few times, will see a fair amount of flaws. Those folks won't get to see how they come STRAIGHT FROM THE SHOP. They'll see a cue that's been used (anywhere from gently to roughly). If those who get the cue on the 5th or 6th pass are left with that kind of impression....then that actually HURTS J&D's rep., and could, in turn, scare people away.

Two folks that have good to great breadth of experience with cues should be the ones to try them out and give a fair, unbiased, BRAND NEW CUE opinion.

There's my $.02.......and I do offer refunds!! :)

Why not tell him another story like you told Eric Crisp ???
Check your PMs, Joe....and consider carefully before you go making comments about stuff you know little to nothing about.

Let's keep this thread on the subject at hand.

Bump for J&D Customs.
