Cue from Synthetic Materials

Would it be a good idea to create a cue with a forearm and butt sleeve made out of synthetic materials like black linen (phenolic) rod/tube, with Aegis/Ivorine/lbm points on the forearm? Should something like this be cored? Has it been done before? And How much would a cue like that cost? Would there be any benefits to something like this?

I believe some production cues like Falcon has used linen phenolic tube for the butt sleeves, but I havent seen any cues with linen phenolic forearms.

Hank Korsiak has done this before and his son, Roger, is still doing it. And I believe his cues were cored.

I've asked very similar question a couple of years ago and one of the cue maker found it "interesting" and a cue with black phenolic (old stuff) with single piece rosewood core is being built.

Hank used paper based phenolic .
Cuemaker Kerry Zeiler made two cues like those a few years back.
The phenolic was the old stuff.
The new paper phenolids look like crap.
Kerry made one with madagascar rosewood core and it hit a ton.

Yikes.. Even with a 3/4 core that would have to weigh a ton... Good break cue I guess..

Synthetic forearm

Pete Ohman did it for a special break cue I requested. I own 4 of his jump/breaks and the synthetic cue performs the best IMO.

ive flirted with doing this a few times.
ive had a forearm but not enough ebony to do a buttsleeve.
for some reason i cant bring myself to use an entire piece of phenolic. even just a buttsleeve. you can see the weave and looks cheap IMO

Y'all could just 'roll-yer-own' .... buy some phenolic resin, grab something for a reinforcement (glass, carbon fibre, paper, wifes linen dress, etc.), turn out a mandrel to mold it on, and have at it. It's about as difficult as working with fibreglass and polyesther or epoxy resins, imo.
