over on onepocket .org there is a thread on herman rambow.
i asked over there what his cues went for back in the day and how that price compared to other cues available
maybe someone could tell me alittle bit about rambow, szamboti, ballabushka etc.
the time frames of when they came onto the market what they cost etc.
if there is a link or book on this type of info im very interested.
also when did joss, meucci, palmer come onto the seen.
was palmer any good?
thanks for any info/stories provided

not sure what post your talking about.....but hey its christmas and you sound like a fellow cue history freak. Go buy yourself a copy of the Blue Book of Cues.

Its got just about everything.....almost 1000 pages of cues.

Amazing book with amazing amounts of info and its like $35.

happy holidays,

I would be cautious about using the Blue Book as the basis for valuation of the vast majority of cues, particularly in this market. Some are undervalued in the book but most are not. I can't remember a book ever buying a cue. Not a rant or anything, but if you buy a cue using the Blue Book as your pricing guide, in general, and try to sell it that way, you would have to sit on most of your collection for a LONGGGGG time. This is strictly my personal opinion. If you wish to purchase cues using the BB, let me know I have about 20 I would sell you today :D
