Anyone have any idea what this cue is? It is an older cue with nice looking sharp points. It is 25-30 yrs. old with a snakeskin wrap? on it. Belongs to a buddy and he has no idea. Pin is 18 thread. I will try to take bette pics of the sleeve & under the bumper today.

Could be wrong, but I think it's a Taiwan cue made by by Kao-Kao. Same company that made the old Cobra cues, and Mizerak cues when Mizerak had a deal with Cobra.

The joint pin, collar, ringwork, butt cap, veneers, and bumper all look right.

Again, I could be wrong.

Look at the joint.

It doesn't have the appearance of stainless. Stainless is to old cues as location is to realestate. Stainless, stainless, stainless.

The cues I am speaking of do have a stainless collar, but it is a fairly low grade stainless and will corrode much more easily than one will find in better cues. That stainless is also not finished to a high polish as we are used to seeing, it has a very slight brushed appearance. Some very cheap cues use an aluminum collar that is brushed in finish and these pics may resemble that, but I am fairly confident that this isn't one of those and it is actually a lower grade stainless like on the cues I indicated.
