Hello,

I have a cue but I'm not sure what brand or model is it? I tried chatgpt and i finally reached the name Nishiki Xilon and then I got suggested to here. Can anybody clarify the brand and the cue? Is it unique?

Like garczar said, not worth much monetarily but if you're looking to start playing it would be a good starter cue as long as it's relatively straight and has a good tip. Most places will put a tip on for around $30. You can DIY but there is a bit of a learning curve. I do like the looks of it, kind of reminds me of some of the McDermotts or Player cues in the 90s.

It's not a Ferrari of cues but it's much better and more consistent than grabbing one off the wall. It's at least of a quality that uses real tips and not screw on. If I were to put a value to it (and assuming it's straight and no bad damage) I'd say $50-100. You would get closer to the top range of this only if it had a good tip installation. But again, for a starter cue it should serve you well.

make a good bar action cue. you bring that out and everyone's gonna ask you to play. ;)

All this new member cue appraisal traffic used to go to Billiards Fourm's Pool Cue Identification section but he's not been responding over there in a while and the site seems to be down randomly.

We need him back in the game!!!!

i still think that 'generic chinese/taiwanese cue' fits this item. probably plays fine but its not worth anything. good bar beater/back up cue.

you are being far too generous in your view of the cue, but this is the fourth post we have had this week around generic shit cues.

My only point was I liked it more when that traffic was going to Billiards Forum.

agree. a lot of trollers who join just to value flea market shit.

I find them amusing. They have just struck gold . . . Then there was the recent scammer who needed to sell . . . Has anyone ever shown up with a real prize?

Hi, thanks! Since my cue is quite old (bought in the 90s-00s), I was wondering about the brand. I'm new to pool/billiards, and I recently had a professional attach a standard tip. He recommended asking here for more details. Looking forward to playing with it!

Hi, not fishing for prices. Just looking for information about the cue.
Welcome to the forum and do not get discouraged by negative comments.

It makes no difference what a pool cue is worth, or where it was made or by whom, all that matters is if you can pocket balls with it. It may have more value coming from Asia as they have most of the best players on the planet these days.. Just look at the popularity of pool in Vietnam for an example. The recent Hanoi Open was attended by a wonderful crowd of knowledgeable and extremely polite spectators. I was very impressed!

Perhaps someone else has one and will chime in.

Hope you enjoy your cue and your time at AZ...

comments haven't been negative, just reality. every day someone comes on here with some pawn shop/thrift store find and wants to hear they found a diamond in a pile of shit. sorry folks, that just doesn't happen in the real world. they ask for takes/comments so don't get butthurt when you don't get your ass kissed.

We all have opinions and this is a forum where anyone can post once they are members as you know.

The reality you speak of is your own version others may have theirs as well.

I find some of your comments and words to be overtly aggressive but that’s just my opinion.

Have a fantastic day!
