Cue In Progress - 8 Points Curly Over Ebony

Protecting the World
Good day to you all!

I'd just like to ask what you guys think (and maybe give suggestions) on this soon to be cue. It's being made by a Filipino cue maker - Mr. Al Bautista. Forearm is cored Ebony with 8 Points; 4 high and 4 low of Curly Maple. It'll probably go better with a no-wrap curly handle, but I prefer black/white linen wrap. Simple ring work here and there and rectangular inlays on the butt sleeve along with a black joint collar and butt cap.

Its amazing how this guy made these eight razor sharp points by hand. Absolutely no pantograph or CNC here. They line-up pretty well and no glue lines visible.

I'll post pics of it as soon as its finished. By then I hope to remember to bring a real camera and not shoot it with my mobile phone's built-in.:D Sorry for the low-res pic!

wow man lookd great. how's she hit?

Hi Sam!

Thanks for the kind words. You were right 'bout the black only linen. I'll have it changed soon.:D

The cue hits stiff. Exactly the way I predicted it would.

With the Tiger laminated shaft, flat faced phenolic joint, 8 splice pie laminated forearm core and laminated handle, she hits with conviction.

Sorry 'bout the link as its still not yet up. I've got lots of free time this week as we are celebrating the Lenten season here in the Philippines. Hopefully I'll get a few more pages done.

Thanks and have a nice day!
