within 60 miles of Dallas you have Larry Vigus, Jake Hulsey, Jon Spitz, Willie Speed, and John Nemic just to name a few
 
John Nemec built me a custom cue with a few somewhat unique requests (non-traditional materials). He's reasonable on price and great to work with, and the cue plays great!

all 3 of these are great cue makers

There is Don Wallace in Arlington and Jim Odom in Ft. Worth. There are many to choose from in north Texas. All make good looking and very good playing cues. Some offer full splice, short splice, cnc pocket inlay, veneered, with or without wrap, what ever you would want.
 
John Spitz does as good a job as anyone let me know if you want his contact info. I have owned over 10 of his cues and still play with his cues.
 
Where I play about 1 in 4 pool players have made at least one cue. Come up to Sherman some Sat. Afternoon. Tournament starts at 3pm. If you pop a tip off chances are it will hit a cue maker or cue repair person.

Thanks for the response guys, I was looking to get a new cue made, I had to sell mine recently. But for the time being I wanted to get a solid playing sneaky pete, I heard of JG cues and was wondering who makes a solid affordable sneaky pete, I had a jerico before but I wanted to find someone local know of Jon spitz but don't think I could afford one of his cues right now lol

That is down right funny! I guess I should put in an order for one of his cheap ones before the price goes thru the roof. lol I'd be on medicare before I would get it, o I am already. I guess he would have to have it delivered to the afterlife pool hall in the sky.
