Cue reach opinions

another option is to buy a cheapo "extention ready" cue, say the cheapest cuetec with their extention or even a cheap snooker cue

I have been using one for years, and never had any problem with it. As someone else pointed out, my team mates often ask to use it when the need arises.
I love it, and can't imagine not having it with me whenever I'm playing.

That's a great price on it, too.

It is Cheap in Price.

It will Scratch your Cue finish sometimes.

It is not the product a Hager was.

The Hager is a great extender that definitely will not scratch your cue.

Someone mentioned in just the last day or two that the Hagar website looked like it was back up and running so maybe these can again be ordered.

As dpp said, you will slide your cue into a Hager extension approx 4-5 inches for a snug fit so keep this in mind, not only for storing, but also for using it. I ordered the 24" model and am very pleased. This allows me to not only reach the entire length of the table with ease, but on the shots requiring a good stroke, I can use a bridge in addition to the extension on my cue and powerstroke the shot using a normal underhand stroke, ala Stevie Moore. He seems to like using the extension on his cue while using a bridge.

If I recall correctly, my Hagar 24" was somewhere in the $30 range, very reasonable, IMO.

The last part of the puzzle for me is storage for it and currently, I am trying to work that out with a custom leather Hager extension pouch that Gil Castillo is making for me.

This will become part of the exterior of my case via two rivets (screws and caps, actually) that will attach to the long & short pockets on my case.

I will update with pics, once completed.

Best,
Brian kc
