Hi all,
I have already posted this question in the "Ask the Cuemaker" forum, but it doesn't get a ton of traffic, and I'm short on time (tonight) to make a decision.
I've been offered an opportunity to purchase a cue that has suffered a dent on the butt. My decision is basically coming down to the likelyhood and potential cost of the repair. That said, it's a bit of unicorn for me so my decision is also being weighted against opportunity regret.
I've attached a close up of the butt. At first I thought it may have been a gouge, but with this pic is appears to be only a dent in the clear and the point hasn't been dug into.
The cue has a leather wrap which I would imagine would have to be removed, if a full refinish is required.
My question is whether or not the dent could just be repaired (sry if that's a stupid question), or it will need a complete refinish. Any ballpark on potential cost on these two options...?
If it matters, the cue is made by Exceed, so there is some decent resale value.
Thanks in advance...
