Looks like it got wacked while taking it apart

i know guys that had stuck cues due to dirt in the joint & they & a helper got cue apart by hand.

Good luck,

SLIM

Some WD40 might help. I know this is a common problem with Uni-Loc joints. Is this a Uni-Loc or a traditional threaded joint?

Yep, Slim got it right. Cue between two guys, hands close to the joint. I have never seen it fail.

two guys

hands close to joint and unscrew it, if this will not work, send it to ryan, at mullers, he can cut the pin drill it out and install a new pin.

Is it a jump/break cue or something? Or is that the factory handle to forearm connection?

Looks to me like the joint has been cross threaded - badly, or possible the insert is damaged or the male joint screw bent - it will undoubtedly need to be repaired after it comes apart.

I would take it to a local cue maker or repair guy right away just let them do it. If you don't have one available, spray the joint with WD 40 using the application tube and let it soak in for awhile, then unscrew it by hand. Any use of tools can potentially break out the wood around the joint.

The face of the butt and shaft appear to be parallel so its probably a uni-lock joint. Happens from time to time. The smallest bit of debris will cause it, like lint and I've even heard people finding tiny specks of brass in them as well. Try getting it back together then bumping the the cue to hopefully relocate the debris into a position that will not interfere with disconnect. Then clean it and buy joint protectors if you don't use them.

I applied heat to the pin with a thin tip on a soldering gun to get one apart. There was no pulling it apart. A little heat and it slid right apart.
