Cue Value Apprication

I would say the less machinery involved, the more it's going to appreciate, from a craftsman-type point of view.

Anyone can operate a CNC machine, but not everyone can do it without one.

Good point. If the machine is doing all of the work ..... why should the guy that signs the cue get all the credit.

your inflationary talk is good stuff. so next time i play for a 100 guess it will have to be for a grand.

This is a very interesting topic. I was at the Midwest Cue Show about a month ago or so and me and a couple guys were talking about this. It will depend alot on the economy of course. If your looking at supply and demand though guys like Showman, Searing and Hercek, not to mention Haley and Barry I could only see going up in value. They dont build as many as alot of other cuemakers. For some guys on AZ here who haven't been to a show before they should go sometime.

I was amazed at the level of cues at that Midwest Cue Show on some of the above mentioned guys work compared to others. They are just top notch and dont build a ton of cues. Art Cantando built about 100 cues and some of his work there was just incredible. Bill Schick has some incredible stuff too along with Richard Black. Cornerstone had some incredible Richard Black cues as always. I cant see any cuemaker in the Hall of Fame not appreciating.
