As stated by many AZers in threads about Meuccis, those of us who played with MEUCCI ORIGINALS (Meuccis made before 1990) believe they were of better quality than those made since.

I've owned five "ORIGINALS" which played very nicely. I bought two new Meuccis in 2001, and you could not use the shafts from one on the other, -not even close to being a flush fit! That old Meucci feel was not there, either.
