any idea of value??

Looks like full splice with veneers.
Mapple and Rosewood, with rosewood all the way down to butt ring.
Wood threaded joint in shaft.
Two shafts.
Looks old.
Fancy butt ring with mapple up and down ring and abalone dots above.
No rings at joint.
Brown butt cap and joint.

I would say 70-80% condition

I've had and sold a few CCS cues, Carl Conlon was a friend of both mine and Dick Helmstetter, the CCS stands for Carl Conlon Special. They were made and marketed in the 19980s and 90s. The last one I sold, which was unused and perfect with only one shaft, a pool cue (there were also CCS 3 cushion cues) sold for something like $350.

Most of the CCS' that have no rings were 3c or 3cushion cues.

They have a much different taper and shaft design. These were made for three cushion play with larger balls and much less deflection of shaft and cue as a whole.. Most pool or pocket billiard players do not like this stlye or feel and most 3-c players do not like the whippiness or taper of a 3-c.

Hope this helps a little. The last 3-c Helmstetter CCS I sold with 2 shafts, wood threads, I sold on e-bay for, $230.00. I also sold a pocket pool designed cue with one shaft and one butt with all butterfly design sold for, $338.00.

I think both were worth much more, but I guess this is the market, and boy oh boy it is SOFT SOFT SOFT!!!! NOW AND IN THE RECENT PAST.

I am putting a lot of my stuff away and waiting for the market to come back.

I hope this happens before we have another Civil War in this country.
