Cue Values distinction between past & present

Southwest Cues:
From what I can tell SWC company does not make a distinction between a Jerry Franklin SWC and post Jerry Franklin era cues. However, in the resale market on SWC the Jerry Franklin cues tend to bring more money on average than the newer ones.

Szamboti Cues:
Unlike SWC Szamboti as a company seem to make a clear distinction between father and son, almost if it were two different companies. You have Gus Szamboti cues and Barry Szamboti cues. Clearly the Gus Szamboti cues bring more money.

Now this brings me to TAD Cues:
Like SWC, as a company I don't see them making any distinction between the cues made by Tad vs. Tad's son (I think his name is Fred?) I could be wrong about this and please correct me if I am but it is my understanding the Tad is retired and his son builds the cues and does the repair work now. What I have not seen thus far is any distinction in the resale market between the value of older Tad cues actually made by Tad himself vs. the newer Tad cues made by his son. This brings me to the following question. Are the Tad Cues made by Tad himself worth more money than the Tad Cues of the same design made by Tad's son, much like Gus & Barry Szamboti?

Until Tad Sr dies you will not likely see any difference in the prices. Once he is gone you will have Tad Sr era Tads just like you have Jerry Franklin era SW cues. The cue being from that era does not mean that either maker actually did any work to the cue. It just tells you he was still involved at the time.
