Cue Values

A friend of mine who recently passed away had few older cues and I was hoping I could get the forum to help in estimating value.

First is a Jerry Franklin Southwest that was bought in the late 80’s early 90’s. My friend went to Las Vegas to buy it when Jerry was working out of his garage.
The cue is in good condition but was a main player for years so it does have some small nicks and wear. It’s in a It’s George case.

My estimate for the Southwest is $2,000 to $3,000. Worth more if refinished.
For the Palmer my guess is $600- $800.

Anyone have any better information

if straight and sound with shafts that are 12.75 mm at their smallest point south of the ferrules i'd value it at 5k

i am no expert but the southwest hast to be worth more than that i would think with nothing to support my opinion except that southwests go for 5-10k i think

Assuming the everything checks out with its condition and straightness, you should have no issues at all getting $5k for that Southwest with an LOA. And if you're going to send it in for an LOA, you might as well check the price and turnaround time for a refinish, wrap cleaning/replacement, and shaft conditioning. I'm not saying the refinish and all that is worth it. But if the price and turnaround time are reasonable, I'd consider it to put it back in to "like new" condition by Southwest.
