Cue wrap most like wrapless

I would like to have the nylon wrap on my McDermott D4 changed to feel like a wrapless cue. Any help greatly appreciated.

First off there is no leather wrap that will feel like automotive or UV finish over smooth wood. Glossy black calf, glazed buffalo or bright beaver would be the next best IMO. I hope that helps. Martin

If you like the color of your current wrap but just don't like the feel,
the wrap can be cleared over to be hard and smooth; viola, wrapless.
A well done dbl. pressed linen can be pretty smooth.

KJ,
Would clearcoat stick to NYLON??

Barringer and Tiger both offer stack leather wraps. Any preference? Would a one piece leather wrap like beaver be best?

No. If you want the wrapless feel - re-read KJ's post. A clear-coated Moochie-like
wrap is the closest you can get. Unless... Mike Webb did a veneer 'wrap' that
effectively transforms a cue to wrapless. He is a member, you could PM him.
I don't think he is taking on any work now, but it is worth a try.

Many cue makers or repair guys could do the job.
