It is a site similar to how Ebay works.... but even better than Ebay!! this guy is a friend of mine and he really has a neat idea going on here. i just thought everyone here, being pool enthusiasts, should know about these two sites and the guy that is behind it all.... share it with your friends too! i have no affiliation what so ever to these sites.... just figured you guys would like to check them out!

www.cueauctions.com //auction site

www.proficientbilliards.com //general website

this guy does awesome work on cues too... so if you need a repair, rewrapped cue, or a great looking refinish to one of your cherished cues.... this guy compares to no one else for price, speedy turn around, and great customer service!!! his name is Scot Sherbine! check him out and tell him that I, Shawn from F9B, sent you to him! you woln't regret having this guy as a contact. pass it along.

I like the idea of looking at the cue and feeling it, but I like this auction site..........cause if I do find something I like I will drive there and see it......if it's not to far. Plus where are you going to see a big variety of exotic cues like they have at this site. But in my opinion............I like to see what I am buying or know the guy real good.

I would rather buy locally but when you show the local guy the price you can get it for on the net and he demands to make $50 instead of $20, what are you going to do?

Yes..........but wouldn't you do the same.....LOL. Wouldn't we all try to get as much as we could out of something we were selling? What I have found about ebay is......you can't really get what something is worth unless it is used. People on ebay are just looking to steal something......not looking to buy anything! The site metioned above is more for billiard people, looking for billiards stuff...................Nice site guys. I already knew about the Proficient Site............Great site for looking at some very nice cues. And the guy does great work. Once again......nice site guys!

Scot is working on a universal grading system. The system will have numerous different catergories that will describe the cues total condition. Such catergories he showed me were:
1. shaft diameter 2. finish 3. shaft condition 4. butt/forearm condition 5. overalll condition These were just a few of the ideas that Scot had mentioned to me last nite when I dropped off my team paperwork. Scot is very reputable, and I am sure he offers some kind of guaruntee. You will have to ask him about proficient billiard's policies. But i know for sure that Scot is very particular about who he associates with, the work he puts out, and is very proud of his business's integrity. And I have never seen better digital photos of cues anywhere else than his site.

I found his site and use to just surf the pics.......just to see some nice cues. And since I have found his site, I have recomended him if someone asks about getting their cue refinished. Very nice site and very nice work. I even saw an old Joss, that I believe we sold a few years ago, on his site.

I have always bought cues I could demo, although some cues I am considering currently are much cheaper online than my local dealers?

i would never buy from these two sites. sorry, but why should i trust anyone there. if there have been scams pulled on a place like ebay, why should i feel secure here. i think the people who run these sites will have to absolutely be right on top of everything in the cue world, so that they can spot scams.

maybe they will have to screen all the cues...maybe act in some kind of escrow capacity before finalizing the transaction.

i will buy from those i trust,,,,dealers i know.
