There's no telling with Joe. It could be that something's backordered, or it could be that he's decided that he don't like you and doesn't want your business. He can be a queer bird at times.

Before you take a personal issue with a vendor you should give him an opportunity to explain. If you already have received a refund you have no issue.

This is no place for this kind of post.

Sure it is. And no one is bashing Joe I want to know if there is a Online Ordering Issue. Why dont you read the post before you make comments. Joes a stand up guy. Thats why I asked Anyone have any online ordering issues. I did not ask if customers had issues with him because I am not questioning him.

When I have a problem ordering online, I usually call the person I'm trying to order from, not post to a public forum.

You plan on calling tommorrow, why not today? Then maybe there would have been no post to a public forum.

Man I wonder about this place sometimes. The post was made around midnight. They are going to be called today. It is not unreasonable to ask if they are have site difficulties in thier order process. There are several people that order online here. Its a simple question and at the time someone could of offered up that they knew of a known issue that they may or may NOT be having.

When you order from Cue Components, you checkout with their Yahoo Store. Your card is charged, but I don't think that shipping is figured in. Once they fill the order, they resubmit the card. The first charge is just a hold to make sure you have the money. If they were away for a couple of days, the charge may have come back, but when they send it out, they will recharge you. At least that's how I think it works. I've noticed double charges on my card from time to time.

Normally when I order from there, everything arrives fairly quick. There have been a few times that take an extra week or so and I assume they are away or it's just a busy time.

Thanks Tony this is the info I was looking for. Never seen 2 charges yet maybe its that the preauthorization dropped. Last night I almost reordered everything probably glad i didn't, hence the reason to inquire with this post. Anyway going to double check with Joe today got an answering machine just now. Hes a busy man.

yes ive had problems with two charges. i placed a large order with him and he runs your card for the purchase amount less shipping. then later runs your card with shipping.

however it doesnt drop off immediatly. it takes 5 buisness days to get back into my account. i bank with commerce. i bounced 2 checks bc of this. only bounced checks in my life. i called my bank. they said call the company and get a letter. i called joe he said i was beat. nothing he would do

i do not order with joe for this reason anymore. not bashing him just my choice when he changes it he can possibly get my buisness back.

I believe the dual charges have to do with your bank. I have three different bank accounts. One takes the money out on a hold immediately and can result in duplicate charges for a day or two. With my other two, I have never seen two charges on a purchase.

Last time I looked this was a public forum...not a private one.

IMO it is wrong for any company to charge your credit card without immediately shipping the merchandise you ordered. I believe most credit card companies will agree........

Hello to all......

Many online vendors use an authorization type process to avoid fraud and to make sure the funds are available from any given customer. When you place an order with us, our system obtains an authorization for the funds which is perfectly legal. This protects us and you from fraudulent use as it verifys your name, address and codes with your bank. It also insures that the customer has the funds available for the order which they've placed. Believe it or not, there are many circumstances when someone places an order and then the funds are not available on their credit cards. Our system verifys that the funds are available and thus saves everyone from embarrassment, wasting time and placing orders which they cannot afford or have the available credit.

The authorization falls off in about 2 to 3 days with most major banks. I've never seen it take 5 days but we're not doubting it. Funds are usually held 2 to 3 business days. This is usually not a problem as we are almost always running behind with filling orders so that the authorization is not a factor.

If this ever presents a problem or if you have any questions, we're here to help solve it and answer your questions.

I not going to get in any argument. that would be nice to charge when shipped. Matter of fact a lot of merchant vendors require that it be that way. Seeing Yahoo stores runs the eCommerce thier rules may be different.
Anyhow my orders being shipped today but the process of ordering is cleared up. So we can let this thread die. There is nothing wrong with his online ordering system and he is receiving the orders so all is well. That was my question anyhow. Joes systems if fine in my book. I just wanted to ask if anyone know of a issue i almost reordered the entire order which could have cause issues for Joe and myself since he would have 2 orders. Since it was after hours when I seen what happened and got concerned theree was possible a online order system issue thought I would ask here before I screwed up and reordered.
Thanks all who responded

there is absoluetly no reason a single transaction including shipping can not be ran.

i have to clear something up. in my previous post i said i placed a large order. in fact in a pm joe told me the date and the ammount along with a ridiculous story of what he felt happened. the charges were 56$ and then 65$ shipped. the result of the double charge was 2 bounced checks for 70$ total. when i disputed the charge with my bank i was told simply to get a letter from the company stating their process and all charges would be taken off.

during our phone conversation joe absoluetly refused to write a letter for me. so essentially a 65$ order cost me 135$ and cost joe thousands of dollars in buisness with me. i believe this process should be reevaluated along with some customer service issues.

like i said not to bash anyone publicly just to help the process.

I have had the same problem with Atlas, and some other companies. If the card you use is a debit but can be used as a charge card, it will happen. The card I used with Atlas on 2 occasions was a Paypal debit and went thru as a charge card automatically and therefore caused 2 charges on each occasion, and I had to wait for 5 days for the second charge to expire and have use of the money. I called them and they said, oh well it's the system. The next order I put in, I used my normal debit card from my bank, and then in the notes section stated that it was a debit, not a credit card so please don't double charge. they didn't then, and haven't any time after. Some cards are just prone to it more than others. Concerning Joe, It hasn't happened to me, not even once.
I have even had this happen recently with the United States Post Office, where I had to cancel a label due to it not printing right, twice. I am still waiting for 2 charges to be released.
Hopefully, this thread doesn't turn into a 'bashing a vendor' thread, because I don't believe thats what RD was trying to do, and it wouldn't be fair to him or Joe. He had a question, and as usual some people seem to take it as a moment to bash someone. I would like to think that as adults, we can all play nice in the sandbox together. Remember... Happy Faces...:) :) :) :D

Nope i personally like Joe I really would appreciate if we can put this thread to rest My questions were answered and I am quite satisfied. Heck Joe even called got a hold of my wife and reassured her the order was in process :) Joes a great guy in my book!!!

i think you were pretty clear in your first post, you were just wondering if something was up with the website or whatever.some just over reacted.
