Cuemaker build off

I'll be testing them with Grampa000.

I forgot to ask or if it was asked somewhere in these 15 pages I don't wanna look through all the pages... will we know the names of the builders at least? (not who built what)

The names of the builders are on AZ. Some of them well known outside AZ, some not. Eric Crisp, and myself will be (should be) the only ones other than the builders themselves that know who is involved. Trust me guys, you will want to try these cues out and you will be very suprised as to who is building cues for this!!!!!

This will be (my hopes) a way for people in different parts of the US to try out cues that we have never heard of, or probably would never have a chance to try out. This will be a positive thing for us, and for the builders to get thier name out there....and its to help a good cause. As of right now (subject to change) at the end, we will raffle off the custom case from JB Cases he is making just for this event, and all the cues that will be involved and all the money will go to AZBilliards to help this wonderful forum out...
 
how many cues does eric have in possesion now?

Also, in your list, there is "HollyWood". Does he live in hollywood CA? if so, "safety" and i were planning to have everyone meet at hollywood billiards, so maybe one of them should be taken off the list?

No, Hollywood lives in Michigan (I believe...dont have my list of participants on this computer)

The deadline for the cues to be finished has been moved back because some family emergencies that a couple of cue makers have had. So we moved it back to the end of May.....

One cuemaker has said he will not be finished in time so he is not able to participate unfortunately.

Only a few more weeks to go guys.....Getting close:thumbup:

Also..I will take some names off the list of everyone can meet at a local pool hall....that will get the cues to other testers faster..........I will post the list friday...still waiting on 1 more person to let me know where he is located...

John, glad to hear that....seems you may beat the cues to Erics :thumbup:

A cpl of cue builders have had some family issues...and this is meant to be a fun thing and to get some cues into some peoples hands that have never heard of that particular cuemaker...So everyone can participate we moved it back....Unfortunately 1 cue maker cannot have his cue finished in time...

But.........another cuemaker has stepped up and has provided me a cue for this buildoff... He is on here, but I have never heard of his cues at all....and hopefully nobody on here has either...But, I have his cue in my possession, and let me tell you guys....this cue is amazing...beautiful..hits great, smooth as silk...just an absolute wonderful cue..So, the KNOWN cuemakers here on AZ that are participating....you are in for a big suprise with this cue..

Its getting down to the last few weeks.....cant wait...everyone stay tuned! :thumbup:
 
Sent you a PM. If the cues are not comming to the Southern California already, I would be interested in being put on the list. I know a couple of people who would be excited to test hit the cues and participate in the reviews. Thanks.

Here is the long awaited list of people who will participate on the buildoff as testers.....These people will evaluate the cues and provide us with thier honest feedback...also, they will provide feedback on the custom case JB Cass has made for this buildoff.

Please.....No BASHING of any cue..Lets say if you do not like the feedback the cues gives to you....Please dont say its a piece of Junk and you wouldnt waste your money on that cue...Please I ask everyone be respectful of the builders involved..Simply state that the cue did not have the particular feel that you like or something like that......The cue builders are doing us a HUGE FAVOR for allowing us to test thier cues....They would like Positive feedback, as well as negative feedback so that they can either take what we say or not. It is thier cue and not everyone will like the same cues....So this is for US, and for them....lets all just have fun with this and try out some great cues!!

The cues and case should be arriving at Eric's (Sugartree Custom Cues) within the next few weeks, and all cues should be in his possession around the end of May.

If anyone on the list is close to someone and can meet at the same pool hall, please let me know so I can take one of you off the list so we can shorten the time the cues are spent being shipped. Also...Whoever shipps the cues will be required to post the tracking and insurance info on here so all can track the cues!

Since Rochester is so close, I'll just drive over and deliver it to the next guy, if he's willing to give me a time and place to meet, but this wont be for a while.

Sounds good HeLLFiSH....I may also drive the cues down to GroundHogg...I have relatives close to him and this will give me an excuse to see them, and meet a fellow AZ'er....
 
I didnt take the time to read all 16 pages of this thread.. Perhaps you can fill me in?? What kind of security measures do you have in place to insure that someone doesnt get greedy.. It seems like alot of wood for one guy to handle at a time.. let alone 20 guys..

I have been on the forums for 3 years now and I am not going anywhere. Many poeple (including the owner of AZBilliards) on here know me personally and as a matter of fact they will be testing these cues out with me. I cannot speak for anybody else.

I agree :) I can't wait either. I won't be taking a week off work but I am excited. I have a table here at the house so there is no need to take off work :)
