is that your bottom dollar on the scruggs? $699 is out of my range for that cue, but if you'd take less let me know.
Hi,

Sorry, but $699.99 is my target price at this time. I'm not selling it out of necessity. It's just that the market for them is so hot right now; otherwise, it wouldn't be for sale, plays too good. Thanks for your interest, though.

A Scruggs sneaky pete should cost around $450.and thats expensive since Tim dosn't even make them himself anymore but if you can get $700 or more thats great.

I can't figure out why you posted this message. I also can't figure out where you got the authority to dictate the prices cues should and shouldn't sell for. If my cue sells for $699.99, then that's what it "should" have sold for, plain and simple. If you don't like my price, then pay no attention to my auction, but please don't try to screw me up.

You got that half right. You are right, in that Tim does not make them. But the important part you missed is, Tim does not sell them anymore either. Is the cue in question worth $700? That is up to a buyer to determine. It is a matter of supply and demand. The demand is growing and the supply is finite, there will be no more. Would I pay it? No, but someone may.

I have 2 TS sneaky petes I bought brand new back somewhere around 89-90'....One has never seen the light of day and the other I played with day in and day out for about five years.....and to me they're both priceless.

Well said Toughrow.

I think people need to realize that the predator fitted shaft alone could probably be considered a 250 dollar upgrade, let alone the value of the cue to be around 450...so 700 is a very good asking price for this cue in my humble opinion.

If I was a scruggs fan, I would be all over it, but I have never hit a ball with a scruggs.

If you are interested in a cue that plays similar to a Scruggs, but a Scruggs is not within you budget, you may want to contact Bob Frey.
Scruggs refers sneaky pete customers to Frey. Frey also makes very beautiful custom cues.

See the information below, from the Scruggs web site.

While Tim no longer makes Sneaky Pete cues, lifelong friend and former partner of Tim's, Bob Frey, does. Also located in Baltimore, MD, Bob continues to make Sneaky Pete cues to the same exacting standards he did when he worked with Tim.

You can contact Bob at:
