Have you seen quality cues made with oak? What did you think of the wood's look in a cue? If you have pics to post, I'd appreciate it.

Been used for some time

Here is an old Titlist conversion.

Here is a Wenge forarm/buttsleeve with 4 Oak points I am finishing up now. The points look very good and figured.

I personally like Oak in cues. The old makers liked it as well. Very good , solid , cue wood.

Oak Titlist

I have had a Oak Titlist. IMO it is the best of the titlists. Most will talk about the purpleheart or ebony, but the oak titlists "LOOK" like an old cue and the refinish makes them look awesome.

My recommendation to my friends here....get any Oak Titlist you can find.

I am hoping when I get with Kevin on my Varney cue it will be Oak. I am not sure if he has done much with Oak and I havent even spoke with him about it, but it is where I am going next.

Thanks for the pics so far. I was thinking about having a cue built from oak, but I didn't know there were oak Titlists. That sounds like the way to go for the conversion I've had in the back of my mind. Thanks, Ken. If anybody has or finds an oak Titlist that would be good for conversion, please contact me.
