Cues with hand painted artwork on them

I'm thinking about having a custom cue made. I'm also thinking about having some kind of theme painted on the cue. I like old western movies so I'm thinking about a old west theme. This means I'm going to have to find a cue maker that's also an artist. Unless they send it out to have the painting done.

Have any of you guys ever had a cue made that also had some artwork painted on the it. If so can you post some pictures of your cues.

Do any of you know a cue maker that might be able to make this type of cue.

I always thought cuemakers were missing the boat (no pun intended) on this one. There have been some who have enlisted the aid of scrimshaw artists to work on ivory and tusks, and such, but artwork such as airbrushing, pinstriping, caligraphy, etc., in my opinion could become quite popular. I think I'll float this one by the the design crew at Steamer Cue Sports LTD, see what what they think about it. That's Wally Overholtzer's bunch, you know.

I'm sure that there are several cue makers out their that have or can find an artist for hire that will do the work you're interested in.
The above cue I believe is a Hills cue? I remember seeing it for sale some time ago, and it's the only 'painted' cue that I've ever seen that I thought was done tastefully.

Two points: There was a Cue Maker featured in 'Cue Makers Corner' in Inside Pool some months ago. As I recall HE was a cue maker and his wife was a Schrimshander. He included her schrimshaw into his pool cues. Of course I could not find the right issue of Inside Pool to provide additional details!

Not that he paints or designs cue, but Gil Castillo of Castillo Leather Goods engraves leather wraps with hand drawn designs. He advertises that he'll burn your design into a leather wrap. Photos attached.
