Hi there, I hope I'm in the correct area for this question. I need an honest answer as to how much our cues could be worth. We have a Scruggs and a Mottey. We have all the paperwork for the scruggs. There are 3 shafts. We are unsure of the extra as to which it belongs. Thank you guys

Editing to say that the SNEAKY PETE IS THE PAUL MOTTEY! For those of you not paying attention. TY

I have a shaft and matching jump-break for the Mottey, please PM me details, I'd like to buy it

I would say $2500-2800 Scruggs & $1500 Mottey I adjusted the price a bit on the Scruggs.
The Mottey price is due to not seeing many of these and both makers cues are desirable.
Cue flippers will only want to pay half that!

I am not sure what paperwork it is that you have for the TS cue but, regardless, I can help with providing a *realistic* range on the values for these cues. Although I do not see it in your pic I will assume the TS is a 1st logo cue, it has a stained maple forearm with 4 points & veneers, ss joint and linen wrap, and maple boxes w/ slotted diamonds design in the butt sleeve - this cue would be in the $1700 to $2150 range depending on a couple things, the condition, whether or not the shaft is full (approx 13mm), straightness etc. What you have pictured only shows one shaft that matches the TS cue (see the ringwork in the collar with the small maple blocks design).

The mottey cue is a sneaky pete which you don't see an overwhelming number of these, two shafts pictured have the plain black phenolic collar so both may be original to the cue or not, I couldn't say unless IU had it in hand or better pics were provided but generally that cue would be in the $800 - $1200 range and, again, condition, straightness, shaft diameter(s), one or two orig shafts all would impact the value up or down.

Both cues are desirable so finding buyers, if that's what you're looking to do, shouldn't be too hard.

GLuck.

Who would I ask about the condition? Should I just go to a pool hall and ask someone? Paul Mottey owns one near me so I was going to go there and see if he or anyone can tell me which shaft belongs to the sneaky.
