My cue repair guy replaced a damaged ferrule and installed a medium Cuesoul tip.
I think a long time ago I tried this tip but can't remember.
It seems to be ok but has anyone used this tip before?
Pretty cheap at about $7 plus install.

At Cuesoul's website, Cuesoul only sells cue tips for more than $15. eBay, too, only had Cuesoul tips costing more than $16 for sale. Your $7 cue tip sounds too good to be true.

I bought a pack of mediums a while back. They installed well and seemed to hit like a quality medium tip. Who knows who else they make the same tips for rebranded.

Cuesoul is just a retailer. They don't make anything. some random tip shop is making these. They're probably a decent $5-7tip but anymore than that then you got taken.

Did not know that. I've only seen them on Amazon, they're about 5 bucks a piece, quick free shipping so I thought I'd give them a try. I normally order precisions, cost twice as much and take longer to get but I think they're worth it.

Not saying AI is all that accurate but this is from Google AI mode. "Cuesoul manufactures a wide variety of sporting goods, specializing in darts and billiards. They design and produce both mass-market gear and custom-made equipment at their manufacturing facilities and Innovation Lab in China"

It’s enough to watch some Chinese pool on the tube and see all the pool related commercials to realize that there are a ton of brands that are unknown to the west and it doesn’t mean that they suck.
Some are real brands, so are rebranded, some are poor quality, some are top quality.
For us, going with the known brands is a safe bet, but if you like to experiment and have the time and money for it, you might discover really good products for a lot less of what we usually pay.

** I’m not saying it’s a good tip, I don’t know and have no experience with it. But with so many brands out there and now even players have their own tip brands, a lot of them probably come off the same factory line and just get branded with different logos.
The knowledge is out there and making good layered tips is not a big secret known to only a bunch of makers anymore.
