every time i try and view/use the Cuetable here at the office all it does is start to work, then sit there and spin, and do nothing???

I use Netscape 8.1 (which is FireFox by another name), but it can display either like FireFox or like Internet Explorer would. I get a blank table with no balls loaded into it when I click on a link, and have done so multiple times.

I had an absolute bastard of a time getting it to work.
This is one of those programs where you must uninstall the old version very carefully and completely or the new versions won't work... that means uninstalling it in start -> settings -> control panel -> add/remove programs, and look under both the "A's" for adobe shockwave (or flash) stuff... and under the "M's" for macromedia shockwave (macromedia got bought by adobe).
Secondly you must verify that special folders associated with these programs are gone. For example there may be a an adobe or macromedia folder under c:\program files\ ... another in C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\ ...etc. Couldn't hurt to do a search for shockwave, then macromedia. Be careful searching for and deleting 'adobe' because adobe makes many useful programs you may already have and want to keep, such as acrobat or photoshop.
It gets worse... you then must remove registry entries associated with flash and shockwave. The registry is where the computer keeps install and version and other info about programs, and sometimes old leftover registry info can cause problems because a program's uninstaller failed to clean it up.
There's a lot to this, you definitely don't just go in there and start deleting stuff at random, even if it just says shockwave. You can break the computer pretty good. I'll give you the gory details on how to do the registry stuff if you want, but it'll be a chore and your work wouldn't appreciate it much.
After all of these steps, as a final step to go to http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/ and get the latest install file and reinstall. This got it working for me. You may need to reboot before or after this install to get it going finally.
