I am glad you like it and we should really give credits to those members who shared the ideas ( yourself, Andrew Manning, IconOfSin , jwpretd). This was a happy joint effort.

So far the past contests were somehow centered around some particular topics among people the month before. It is an interesting way for all intermediate players to share experience around the world (and everyone can benefit, for example, I would think twice about leaving IOS a jump shot now :D ). We would really hope to get more people involved in making this worth a while, whether as a player, a sponsor or a helper.

This is the 4th contest as we are trying our best in fine tuning the formats. If anyone have any ideas or suggestions please share it with us. Anything will be greatly appreciated. :)

Thank you again.

How about making the contest open to barboxes. :D You can take into consideration the size of the table when deciding who did the best. ;)

Hi,

I guess it is not too late yet to open it up to barbox. Since we meant to have the drill for everyboday, anyone should have the right to decide here.

Let's have a public vote:

YES - If we can get 5 people to say yes on "allowing 7" table to CueTable contest 0609" before next friday, we will do it.

NO- If anyone think it's not a good idea or have a better way to deal with this matter, you can vote a "no" too. It will be count against the total.

In any case, no biggie if this doesn't go through. Perhaps we can think of a better drill for the following month. :)

So... what do you think?

5 Members of my family vote yes. :D I just bought a good cam to hopefully upload some videos and CueTable Contests. Please consider it everyone! ;)

i dont mind at all.

you could ofcourse add a handicap or something, but really, who wants to spend so much time finding a good handicap :p id say, let everyone play. the more, the better.

your welcome Wei, ur doing a greath job.

I just set up the drill and got 45 points. I will try and put it on youtube if you allow barbox in the contest. I think it is harder on a barbox because there is only a small window in which to play position. Let me know.

Yes, let barbox shooters give it a try. I drill like this is harder for barboxes anyway since your position play has to be tighter.

Thanks Icon! Have you tried doing the drill? It is hard to get a lot of points, but I pulled off a miracle out and got 45.

I have done it without hitting other balls, but not in order or stripes or solids first.

Pulling off that perfect 45 is incredible man. You deserve the prize.

The video is 42 MB so I might do it in a different resolution to cut down on size. I am trying to get it on youtube, google, and megaupload. Nothing has worked yet. What are you using to record your videos and what sizes are they usually?

I vote to allow barboxes as well.

very nice job gage!

will be hard to beat :D seems like uve put alot of work on thinking first where to put wich ball. u seemed to had every position planned out in advance.

if u do your homework, u will get there :D

exactly the same as in a real game. u plan every step in advance and then u just execute.

great job.

just add 5 bank shots in between and ur ready to take the lead pranner :D

dont give up yet!!! :D ow man, i wish i had a pooltable to try it on too.

wei if u need more idea's for other drills, i might have some idea's for you. they are similar to these, but the balls are positioned in different order.

one for example. place all the 15 balls between foot point and breakpoint in a line. u play 14-1 rulez. so u can pot 15 or even 100 balls if u want. u can add the same rulez of this month game to it. 5 banks = extra, playing them in rotation = extra, full/stripe order =extra etc etc.

advantage is that the competition will be able to beat the highest score more easily, as there is no limit on the amount of balls potted. it will be very hard to beat gage's 55 points.
