hi forum got my new cuetec cynergy shaft a couple days ago and have been playing with it on my joss west butt, the hit is sweet and solid and can move the cue ball around so easy, draw shots are amazing and the feel is so smooth, was playing with a 314-3 so will give it more time but so far loving it.

cue tec made a really nice shaft

I love mine~! Had it about 6 months now. Hits nice. I like the sniper tip and keeping it clean is super easy :)

Best Carbon shaft out of them all
for me.Has the best of all of them in one. Would not change a thing,
the perfect shaft!!!!

Glad you like it. #7 on my list of the 7 I tried but to each their own.

Same here.

Most everyone I know that likes the cynergy shaft says:

1. It sounds and feels like a wooden shaft.

2. It was easier to adjust from plain maple to the cuetec because the cynergy has a deflection rate close to plain maple.

3. They like the pro taper.

4. All of them preferred the white ferrule.

IMO, the only benefits they actually get from the cuetec over their previous wooden shaft is:

1. CF doesn't ding near as easy as wood
2. Shouldn't warp
3. Stays smooth in most all conditions which helps with consistency

Just my opinion but, to me, the only reasons I use CF is the really low deflection and energy transfer.

I know there are other benefits but, I never was concerned about dings, warping, the shaft staying smooth and now I don't really care for a white ferrule the way I use to.

I have a couple friends that actually play worse with them but, lol....they stay with-em just because.

To each, their own but, I really don't get it, not at all. To me, pool is "all" about performance.

Congrats on the new equipment. I'm sure you will enjoy it even more, as you spend more time with it.

I used one for about 4 months, and while I thought it was fine, I sold it for a Predator 314-2. I just like wood shafts better. Congrats on the new shaft it should give you years of service.

If there is no real difference between wood and the Cuetec Synergy CF, what would explain them playing worse? Just wondering.

Same here. Maybe they just were distracted by the color or maybe some other aspect but its hard for me to believe the shaft itself caused poor play. The one i hit was awesome. Good feel, sound and super slick.

I have the Cuetec CF shaft and it is good but the deflection is no better than my two other low deflection maple shafts. It is easy to keep clean and ding resistant. A little rubbing alcohol on a piece of paper towel to clean it. Then I finish it off with a liquid car wax and good to go.

Sheesh... lol
There are also a few made by guys here on AZ, probably 3-5 i'm guessing. UNITED and Longoni also make them. Its around 20 total i'd guess with more to come. Lucasi/Players will surely offer one soon. Here to stay.

I have one and love it.. after a while I switch to a slightly harder tip and feel like I have even better control.
I am considering buying another one for my break cue and switching the tip to a taom break tip.

Well, let's just see: Pred., Cuetec, Jacoby, Pechauer, Mezz,Meucci, Fury, BeCue, GoCustoms, OB, McDermott. Any more?

Yes, there are some custom cue makers with them now. Think Meyer Custom Cues, Krindlekin & Dunkel Custom Cues all make them. Dunkel for some years now. Lucasi is coming out with one too.

To "me" there isn't much difference. Don't know about you.

Them? I don't know the "why's" either. I just know I'm giving them more weight now compared to before. A good bit more in some cases.

It's crazy to "believe" the Cynergy shaft has anything to do with you having to give them more weight. It's gotta be something like a slump or some other coincidence on their part.

This is a fact: There are now a good number of top-tier pros using the Cynergy cue/shaft and I don't see them getting any weight from anyone. Sure those guys/gals can shoot great with anything...but if the performance of the shaft was not stellar, they wouldn't be using one (sponsorship money or not).

JMO.
