Cuetec - Personal Experiences
Just a distilled list of UNPAID accounts of positive personal experiences with Cuetec cues.
Feel free to add your experiences positive or negative. I ask only that you give us your opinion based on real experience with the brand. And if you think they suck, then tell us WHY they suck.
Feel free to make a similar list of negative experiences. This way someone considering a cue from this company which supports amateur and professional pool cue make their own decision as to whether they are worth a try or not.

I had a cuetec before.i liked it.
I usually get more action with a cuetec purely because of the taper. house cue tapers usually bother the living hell out of me.
The cuetec house cues play very well. I have played the best of my life with a 21oz cuetec of the rack.
I have one.It was the only cue I had for many (4 or so) years.I made a lot of balls with it...got good shape with it... and won a lot of games.Lost some too...but I did not blame the cue.
The Game can be played and won with it.Period.
I own a cuetec. I got it for free when I purchased my McDermott. It is a solid hitting cue, and as a break cue, it is a monster. I have never had anyone complain about how the cue plays. I loan it out when the house cues where I'm playing suck. The worst part is that I've had people beat me with my own stick....er....cue. Can't call it a stick because it's fiberglass with a graphite core.
I've never owned a cuetec, but I've shot with a few.
They're decent enough. Better then any house cue I've ever used, by a long shot.
Not only did the Cuetec get me a little action, I actually like the way it plays and have no reason to think it won't perform as well as I can make it perform. Will I give up my other cues - no way - but would I ever hesitate to play with a CueTec...................absolutely not!!
I have about 15 cues in the house everything from Bill Schick SP, PFD Cue, Madden Cue, Bob Frey,Rick phillipi ,Predator 3k6, Schon STL-3,Mcdermott cues, Balabuska GB-7,Fury RP -7, and I have to tell you I shoot just as good or better with the Cuetec or Scorpion if not better !!
I have a Cuetec cue (two SST shafts, 13 and 12mm), play with it often with no problems with the hit or the cue holding up to continuous use. I have friends and teammates who use Cuetecs with no problems also
There are two strong VA area players who both break with a cuetech.
Mark Tadd (a very strong professional player) won a lot of CASH shooting with that black cuetech break cue. Allison Fisher won quite a bit with a cuetec. The first 9 ball tournament I ever won was with a cuetec.
when Troy Frank (a very strong professional player)won the Derby City Classic 9 ball, he did it with a cuetec, and busted up EFREN in the process.
When i watched Mark Tad play some serious money matches a long time ago, he was playing with one of those Cuetec GRAPHITE cues where the butt and the shaft are the same color. (might i add, that he fired in all sorts of stuff from just about everywhere)
Troy Frank won the first Derby City 9 Ball event in 1999 with a Cuetec. He beat an on form Efren and Rempe among others and was not sponsored by Cuetec at the time, he said that he just liked how the cue hit and played well with it
cuetec's are THE classic example of a product that isn't so bad but it is unfashionable. i actually quite like the hit of mine, very solid and quite satisfying.
