I've been looking to get my BIL a new shaft for his cuetech cue. He's not liking the "stickiness" of the fiberglass shaft. What the heck kind of pin does a cuetech have? And why is it so hard to find a shaft that fits them? I'd like to get him a predator, tiger or some other nice wooden shaft. TIA for any info. :confused:
 
Weight Changes:
· Weight changes are impossible to do on Cuetec cues because the bumper is sealed in to protect the cue from outside conditions.

Specifications:
TIP: 13mm Lepro
FERRULE: capped and threaded fiber ferrule
SHAFT: hard rock maple power bonded with fiberglass, 15 1/2 "pro taper (SST Super Slim Taper shaft)
SHAFT COLLAR: Black plastic with thin silver trim ring, plastic insert protects cue from outside conditions
JOINT: Solid black implex plastic collar with thin silver trim ring
PIN: 3/8 x 14 stainless steel
BUTT CONSTRUCTION:
-Wood core
-Fiberglass shield
-Transfer design
-Clear coating
Forearm: Red finish with silver transfer designs
WRAP: Veltec, thin epoxy resin coating
BUTT SLEEVE: Black finish with silver transfer designs
BUMPER: Black rubber, screw in
 
3/8 x 14 ? Don't see that too often. Do they actually make these shafts to fit them or would it have to be a custom thing? Thanks again

I don't think you could get an off the shelf except from cuetech themselves , they do have shafts without the fiberglass coating I believe, best bet is a custom cue maker and post "price wanted" it in the wanted section here maybe.
 
Go to the Cuetec website and see if they sell the new Thunderbolt shaft as a separate item. This should put the feel of maple back onto his fingers.

We can make a Tiger "X" Shaft 3/8-14 for Cuetec.
