I'm in the process of buying a so called 1of1 falcon. Is there such a beast?
I must say it looks like no falcon i've ever seen.
The cue has 3high 3low ivory points into ebony on the forearm and butsleeve with mother of pearl inlays and sterling silver and topaz or aquamarine (not sure which) ring work and a ivory joint with a black linen wrap.

Sorry i am not able to get any pics. Any help would be appreciated

Yes, there is such a thing. I remember reading about a Falcon cue line, on their website, several years ago, that were all supposed to be ones-of-a-kind. Most of them were ebony with, I thought, bone ivory points, joints and inlays. I do remember at least two with silver and turquoise ringwork as well. I don't recall the name of the line itself, Platinum Edition or something, but many of them were 1500.00 or more at the time. I also remember there was a gentleman by the name of Calvert that was invovled with Falcon at the time. I had the impression he made efforts to produce more expensive, elaborate Falcons, possibly to gain a share of the higher end production market.

Regardless, I thought a few of them looked pretty sharp and actually considered trying one out on an occasion or two. Hope this is helpful.

Yes thats correct. They were $2999 each and quite well adorned. I used to own one of them. I take it the one you are talking about is the cue with the points that overlap into the butt sleeve?

I asked Mr Calvert at the time if I could get one of the others but it was sold...however he would make the cue for me. I don't know if that was to be one of his own or under the Falcon name.

I have seen them listed for $1500 also. If you can get one for that price, thats a whole heap of cue for the money.

If I am not mistaken, would that Mr. Calvert not be the publisher of Inside Pool Magazine's JR Calvert?
