Today with the rollercoaster weather we're having my arthritis is really acting up , at seniors pool I played with my one sneaky Pete predator cue and I enjoyed playing with it all most as much as I enjoy my Mike Gulyassy cue !
Has anyone tried one of Mike's new break cues named the bomb ? It would be interesting to hear how it compares to his old break cue a Sledgehammer ?

I have several cues made by Scott. He knew I liked the two cues Richard made for me, so his cues hit pretty much the same. He's a great guy and we text on occasion. I try and drop by the shop now and again. Pretty large, especially for just one person. Dedicated rooms for finishings sprays, etc. Huge dust removal system. I would highly recommend him.It's Scott Gilmore.
Yep, Scott has all of Richards machinery that was slightly flooded during Harvey. He has some really cool machines. If I'm not mistaken, he builds all the Black website cues and you really can't tell the difference. He might be the best unknown cue maker in the World.It's Scott Gilmore.
Shouldn't have trouble filling that order - a lot of poking around on here and you'll find sources (of course, depending on what "custom" means to you - specifying every bit from block of wood to finished cue, probably unlikely).
You can still get one made to your specs; it would just have to be from a lesser-known maker. I had one made for me last year from a local maker for less than $1000.
There are definitely other options available, either new or used. Obviously, you can find one here on AZ in the for-sale section. You can get a new SW style from Jim Pierce or Cody Barnhart around his price range. Jerry Olivier will do a nice new merry widow for about $700 or so.
If you want unique and non-traditional, look at Shon Hardin or Character Cues.

Tom , one of my simple pleasures while on Azbilliards is looking at the pool cues whether they are custom or production made .
If I may I'd look at those that are offered on the for sale or trade link for a cue that could be you're forever cue !
I believe I've found mine maybe you can also ?
I'd contact Mike Gulyassy as he makes a very quality cue also .

I think I may have misspoke when using the word custom, I'm okay with a production cue as long as it meets certain specs, mostly aesthetically.

same. my limit as well. found myself a builder among the 5 (3 initially) selected. I already got one Amboyna Burl build from him from his inventory and decided to get a new build according to my specifications. a few tweaks were made along the way due to availability and cost. atleast 2 of the woods I have in mind can be accommodated (Rosewood and Ebony). the base wood though is the unexpected kind and hopefully it would work. He's out of Amboyna Burl as of the moment which would have been nice for that as a trifecta build. who knows, I might get another build for Christmas 2026. We'll see.
