custom cue from Meucci Gambler butt sleeve?

Hi. Posting here because I'm not sure how much traffic there is in the Cue Maker or similar subgroups.

Has anyone ever seen or made a custom cue made from a Meucci Gambler butt sleeve where the sleeve was either obtained form Meucci or was somehow sourced from a damaged or abused existing Meucci Gambler cue? Does anyone know the taper and dimensions of the Meucci Gambler butt sleeve?

In a nutshell, I was thinking of having a Southwest Gambler made where the sleeve would be the Spades royal flush plus black dice with white accents plus the rest of the cue would have:

- highly figured birdseye maple forearm with 6 ebony points (3 low / 3 high) with natural and black veneers
- black butt cap and joint (3/8x10 pint) with Southwest stitched rings around joint
- black firm leather wrap

Not sure if Meucci would ever source just one of their sleeves, but you never know.

Please let me know if you know or can measure Meucci's Gambler taper and dimensions, TIA.

Scott

Let me see if I understand this, you want a Southwest made with a plastic Meucci butt sleeve?
I don't think Southwest is going to build a cue with Meucci plastic on it.
Are you on Southwests wait list?
It's like over 10 or 15 years long.

Southwest style cue

I'd suggest getting ahold of Scott Erwin and ask him to make it for you since he worked and studied while working with his dad Tim used to build cues for Meucci to finish my thought .

Obviously do whatever you like and good luck with your search. But I'd be kind of surprised if any established cue maker would take that on if only for the odd overall aesthetic of the cue. You're going to have four card inlays in the butt sleeve with six points in the forearm. How would you even line that up to look right? Sure you have six dice above and below the cards you could line the points up to. But those are secondary inlays and aren't going to draw the eye nearly as much as the cards.

It might turn out great. Who knows? But it just sounds off to me.
