Dunkel Custom Cues
I doubt you'll get a Tascarella for $1000 or anywhere close but if you can go for it.
Another option that is fairly close to Long Island is Steve Dunkel. He builds a quality cue for a fair price. You can definitely get something in your price range and his service after the sale is second to none.
He's located in Hamilton, NJ, near exit 7A on the NJ Turnpike.

I have a friend of mine having a cue made by a world class maker and its still not done yet after 5 years. It will be well aged wood. LOL.
But we see him quite often and get updates.
Morgan custom cue shop? Never heard of her. Youre entitled to your own opinion even if it is obviously wrong.

Maybe the tree isn't old enough to harvest yet,,,,,,,
Unfortunately this cue maker needs to do repairs,tips and other quick jobs to keep his doors open.
Plus i hear (not sure) that he has a rich collector in Japan that will take all the cues he can make. So those get made quicker.
So my friends cue is kind of a low priority.
But my friend is not upset as this is this cue makers normal way of business.
