We both write a check out in each others name for the amount and send it to an individual here on the forum that we can both agree to. There are trustworthy people here that I would have NO problem with. They couldn't cash it because it would be in our names. After it was over, both checks would get sent back to the winner. How's that...fair enough?

One of the benefits of going to tourneyments is the ability to buy and sell cues from cue vendors. It also allows one to look at many, many cuemakers works side by side.

On another billiards forum I mentioned, it seems everyone wants to defend a cue that they already have. I consider myself a limited cue collector as I try to limit myself to 13 cues at any time. (Sanity and marriage....) I do not own a Schick but if you set anyone beside this cuemaker it jumps out immediately the difference. This includes all makers mentioned, including Southwest. I have played with a Southwest, and it played very, very well. I traded or sold it as moved well and I wasnt in love with the cue.

I have about 2 cues custom built for me each year, no im not a dealer, just an pool enthusiaste. Mark Wilson wrote an article on cues that was on the money for me. I buy cues I like, never exactly because they are good investment, but they always make me money when I trade or sell.

Finally, I will say this for Mr. Blud. I am a cuemakers dream, I am always buying a cue from cuemaker. I once called Mr. Blud and during the conversation he did nothing but bash other cuemakers, was extremely rude to me. He basically told me that he was the best cuemaker out there and if anyone wanted a pretty cue they should go somewhere else, but he made the best playing cue........all of the smart professionals play with my cues....on and on. I will play with a broom handle before I play with one of his cues.

However, in case you don't know it, Mr Blud, as you referred to him, is suffering greatly because his wife is seriously ill. This really isn't a good time to bash him. I on the other hand feel as an information sharing group you need to share experiences (good or bad) and that is the only way to grow. I have no idea what you're post had to do with the debate of the day, but I appreciate your honestly in this hostile forum.

Is it hostile to bring to someone's attention the fact that someone is going through a crisis? This is just a forum, Blud is going through a real-life crisis. Like I said in my previous post, I would never have butted into this if Blud was not having such a difficult time with his life right now. Is the notion of respect something that you don't understand or are you just unwilling to provide it?

I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything about you, how did you arrive at that? What I said was pretty clear, go back and try to read it again. Of course I would never kick a person while he's down or having hard times. I hope for nothing but the best for Mrs. Blud and I understand how much stress he must be going through right now. My input on the debate of the day was people mostly defend the cue purchase that they have already bought. Again the Southwest cue I played with was okay, it hit well. But if you compare it to a Schick cue (which I did not own) there was no comparison. IMO, IMO Schick is the best cue maker out there.

On the other topic, looking at daily posts of some of these cuemakers and comparing it to how I was treated there was a big difference. The arrogance of one particulairly. I applogize if I was out of line.
