Miko, a good custom cuemaker can get your cue properly balanced and within 1 to 2 tenths of an oz. for the weight.
I do not add weight "via", the way of "weight" blots. Using them, will through off the balance point of the cue, being too front, or too back heavy, making it not properly balanced for the best playability. To me this is not custom cuemaking, using weight bolts.
If a cuemaker or seller says he can change the weight bolt to get "your weight", the cue will not play as it should, because of the balance being changed.
I go so far as weighing each shaft to make sure that the cue with either shaft, is the customers perfered weight.
At times when a customer wants two shafts and one at 13mm, and the other smaller, I still can make the final cue weight what you want with either shaft.
